As a born and bred Marylander, I love this state's culture – from the sun-kissed beaches to our seafood feasts. There is nothing better then cracking open a blue crab covered in Old Bay while sipping on a cold beer. Whether I'm skiing or tubing down snow-covered slopes or walking beautiful hiking trails, each season in Maryland is my favorite.
Some of my fondest memories in Ocean City were with my family at the Quay, where we'd stuff our faces full of Thrasher's french fries drowning in vinegar and salt, all while trying to outsmart seagulls trying to swoop and grab a fry. And nothing topped off the day quite like a scoop of Dumsers ice cream after a round of mini golf or playing games at the boardwalk.
My parents were one of the first families to buy a home in the planned community of Columbia in the 1970's . As a Columbia kid we had access to incredible bike trails. We could ride easily to friends houses, to the local shopping center or grab a Slushie at the corner Highs. My summers were spent at the neighborhood pools and CA camps.
